Richa Modak is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD / RDN) with the American Dietetic Association (AND) and a Certified Personal Trainer from the American College of Sports Medicine​ (ACSM-CPT). She has a Masters (M.Sc.) in Microbiology & Biodiversity as well as a Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) in Human Nutrition & Dietetics. She is currently studying to be a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition from Rutgers, NJ and working on her advanced practice residency in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Richa earned her first Masters degree (M.Sc.) in Biodiversity & Microbiology from University of Pune, India. During this period she also worked as a lecturer for Masters and pre-Medical students and was involved in multiple research projects in Epidemiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Tissue culture, Microbiology, Ecology, Evolutionary Biology and Conservation Biology.
She earned her second Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) from the University of Michigan – School of Public Health with a major in Environmental Health Science and Human Nutrition & Dietetics.
She completed her dietetic internship and gained clinical experience with Michigan Medicine. Her expertise includes Gastroenterology and Liver Disease, EN, TPN and Chronic Disease Reversal. Other interests include Sports and Fitness, Endocrinology and Diabetes, Obesity and Weight loss, Pediatric Care, Pregnancy and Lactation care and ICU/N-ICU care.

Richa is certified in various areas of fitness and exercise such as ACSM-CPT, Zumba™, Strong Nation™, Bollywood Dancing and has gained expertise in Strength and Cardio Training; Yoga and Pranayama.
Health and Fitness encompass nutrition and physical fitness together to achieve the state of wellness. Wellness is more than just the absence of any disease - it is about achieving a healthy body and a healthy mind. Imbalance in nutrient intake and physical inactivity are the primary causes of most health disorders and diseases. A proper choice of nutrients balanced with adequate physical activity is the simple key to a healthy life. With our ever-changing lifestyles, nutrition and fitness counselling have gained significant importance in the past few years.
Therefore to be able to design what is just the right fit for you, that one degree in nutrition will not suffice. To build the foundation of understanding of how our body works, a blend of different branches of science such as Nutrition, Physiology, Microbiology, Ecology, Developmental Biology, Genetics come together and help you accurately. All these subjects were an integral part of Richa's educational background that make her an ideal healthcare provider.
